In order to explain how Edu-K works, Dr Dennison describes the cerebral function in terms of three dimensions: laterality, focus and centering. The normal cerebral function requires of an efficient communication between the many located functional centers in the brain. The lack of functional ability and for the learning happens when the information does not flow freely between these cerebral centers. The movements of Brain Gym® stimulate this flow of information within the brain, recovering our innate ability to learn and to work to the maximum of efficiency.
Laterality is the ability to coordinate a cerebral hemisphere with the other, specially in the average field. This skill is fundamental it ability to read, to write and communicate. Is also essentialfor the flowed movement of the whole body, and for the ability to move and think at the same time.
Focus is the ability to coordinate superior and inferior parts of the brain. This skill has relation with feeling and the expressions of emotions, responding clearly secure, with relaxation, rooting and organization.
Centering is the ability to coordinate the lobes later and frontal of the brain. Directly it is related to the participation and the understanding, the ability to act on the details of a situation while a perspective of itself stays, and for the understanding of new information in the context of all the previous experience.
Of the people without these tools one says that they have disorders of the attention and lack of ability to include/understand.
